Psychotherapy can provide us with a new understanding of ourselves in relationship and with a richer experience of life.

I believe that self-defeating thoughts and actions are learned in early life and that difficulties are maintained in the present.  The need for changing becomes stronger with time... and a time will come when we demand changing. However, pursuing change can cause uneasiness, apprehension; but the process can also be felt as powerful and liberating.

If you are willing to examine your feelings, fears, and to consider your interpersonal issues, we can work together  --  as a team.

I can work on a short term basis, to reach specific goals  --  or on a longer term basis, using less directive approaches, when appropriate.

I am sensitive to diversity, women's issues, HIV related issues, loss, personal growth, and life transition difficulties. I speak Spanish & Portuguese with fluency

I will return your call promptly.
